Congratulations Michael Campbell
Michael Campbell, from New Zealand, has won the US Open Golf Championship. I remember Campbell from the 1995 British Open and it's good that he has finally won a Major. He had really great shots all day and really great putts. I was hoping he would win with a total score of somewhere under par because of Phil Mickelson's comment that it could be a score of double digits over par that would win, but I think Campbell finished up even par for the tournament. This achievement is even more impressive when you note that Campbell gained entry into the tournament through qualifying in sectional play. Many of the other players near the top had exemptions and such. So, congratulations to Michael Campbell. I will have to find out when and where he's playing next.
